About Maria Ventura
Maria Ventura, mezzo-soprano, is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio. She is a graduate of CCM, University of Cincinnati and Illinois State University in Voice Performance. She has taught on the voice faculties of Dayton University, Miami-Oxford in Ohio, Illinois Wesleyan and Illinois State and Xavier University. A seasoned performer, Maria appeared in leading roles in European and American opera houses as well as performing sixteen years with the Forest View Gardens Singers and Orchestra in Music Theater reviews and concerts. Maria was the Alto soloist in The Cincinnati Ballet’s World Premier of Mozart’s Requiem and a soloist in Midsummer Night’s Dream. In 2014 she was “Mother Abbess” in The Sound of Music at The Carnegie Theater and “Mrs. Shin” in The Music Man with Inspiring Arts Group. Ms. Ventura presently teaches at the College Conservatory of Music Preparatory Dept. University of Cincinnati.
